CORN FLOUR BREAD MADE IN KUMANOVO STYLE
Ingredients:
· 1,5 kg corn flour
· 200 gr lard or oil
· 200 gr Seal of Quality soft cheese
· 2 eggs
· some yeast and salt
Preparation:
Put the flour in a bowl and add the dissolved yeast
(can be made without it). Make the dough with some lukewarm
water. It should be thick and mushy when you put it
in the baking pan.
Mix the eggs in another bowl, add the mashed cheese
and stir. Grease the pan with a lot of lard, add some
of the mixture and bake it in the oven. When it is baked
a little, take it out and sprinkle it with some hot
lard and the egg and cheese mixture. Put the rest of
the dough on top and bake it again. You can repeat this
3-4 times.
When the top layer is baked cut the pie in pieces and
cover it with hot lard and some water.
Serve it hot with some soup or set yogurt.
